MANILA, Philippines – The camp of young actress Rhian Ramos applied for a temporary and permanent protection order against her ex-boyfriend, Mo Twister, before the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC) on Dec. 6.
The protection order, as reported on GMA-7’s “Unang Hirit” on Dec. 7, was filed to put a stop to the "verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse" that Mo has allegedly inflicted upon Rhian and her family.
The petition will be raffled on Dec. 12 to determine the sala that will attend to the case, the report added.
“Ira-raffle ito pero assigned na sa family court,” said Rene Pagunsan, Clerk III of the Muntinlupa RTC, in an interview aired also on “Unang Hirit.”
On Dec. 5, an emotional Rhian gave a terse yet profound statement on the scandal involving her and Mo, which apparently reached its peak when the latter’s July 2010 video diary proliferated online. In the video, a tearful Mo claimed “we're gonna get rid [of] our baby” in Singapore.
Amid all the private and sensitive information that got publicized, Rhian said that “more than what the people have seen, I’ve been hurt over a longer period of time unnecessarily, and I think… undeserved.”
It seems, however, that more will be heard from Rhian in the coming days as she hinted in this tweet on Dec. 6:
“to answer all the questions, i'm sorry that i have not been able to speak on the topic you'd like me to speak on. i have been advised not to make any comments on those stories but today i've just received the go signal to air my side. thank you to the supporters and to the thinkers. thank you to those who have waited for my side in this and have noticed the errors in the events and statement that have preceded.”
Notwithstanding what may well be the biggest storm in her career so far, it's work as usual for the 21-year-old Rhian. As posted on PEP Scoopbox on Tuesday, the Kapuso TV host-actress is taping for her reunion series with Dingdong Dantes, “My Beloved.”
Although Mo has not yet commented on Rhian’s latest move, the TV and radio host continues to address the controversy through his online accounts.
Mo even had a heated exchange with a few netizens on Twitter who apparently castigated him.
One of his tweets on Dec. 6 read, “@xtrasweetwifeyx the difference between you and me dear? Your loved ones get a funeral. My 3 1/2 month old child was thrown in the trash.”
He likewise responded to another netizen, saying, “@Mistacey you can call me loser and il agree w/ you. There was been no denial. I was in that room when one second your child has a heartbeat and the next second it's sucked out by tools and a vacuum. I'm a loser? Yes, I've lost something that I wish you won't ever have to endure.”
Meanwhile, in his Tumblr page, Mo posted also on Tuesday a quote by former US president Ronald Reagan: “I noticed that everybody that is for abortion has already been born.”
